Asking About Violence: Ethics and Methodology of Measuring Exposure to Violence

Research Manager and co-author on a multi-country project examining how to rigorously and ethically measure individuals’ exposure to political violence. The study is built around a large-scale (3,000+ participant) in-person survey experiment fielded across urban and rural areas in Colombia and Mexico, with a focus on harm-mitigation protocols, participant and staff safety, and cross-context instrument validation.
